Flying in France
Bordeaux
Bordeaux, the hub of the famed wine-growing region, is a port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. It’s known for its Gothic Cathédrale Saint-André, 18th- to 19th-century mansions, and notable art museums such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux.
The whole city is highly walkable, with pedestrian-only areas and welcoming squares. In less than an hour, you can also visit the beach or make your way to castle-like chateaux producing superb wine in fairy-tale settings.
Saucats airport itself has a very nice onsite restaurant and a lovely terrace allowing views of the landing area. The employees are very friendly and the dishes are fantastic to see and to eat, with very good choice of locals wines.
Our runway is fully aluminated allowing flying all through the night with no restrictions. Fantastic to catch those sunrises and sunsets.
Also, no landing fees when visiting with us.
