A short flight to Almeria (LEAM) from Juan Espadafor Aerodrome (LEJE) on the outskirts of Granada,
First - File a flight Plan then Pre-Flight Check.
Take off from either runway 26 or 08
First Radio call LEJE 130.100 then on take off call Granada 118.855 to advise on the route out of CTR. On this trip, we proceeded to Echo Point. Always ask if the Restricted areas are active. You will find a lot of the time the Restricted Areas are not active.
On leaving the CTR of Granada you then have to contact Malaga on 118.455. Due to the mountains in the area, this can be a bit problematic but you are on Radar and have a Squawk code given to you and your flight plan is activated.
Once you reach the boundary of Malaga Approach you will be given Sevilla Approach on 132.600. They will take you to the boundary of Almeria. 118.350.
On this frequency, you will be given your approach and landing information.
AVGAS fuel is available at Almeria. We use BP Aviation cards.
If you just want to collect fuel and do not want to go into the terminal and pay handling you can collect fuel and take off again. You must pay the landing fee online in advance.
