The reason I wanted my Private Pilots Licence was to have the freedom to fly anywhere I wanted when I wanted. I have now flown many hours and landed at different airfields in different countries.
When I first started to fly, this was not the case. When I rented aircraft I had to fly a minimum amount of hours a day, pay to keep the plane overnight. Had to rent aircraft that was sometimes an embarrassment to present to the wife as her carriage of the air.
What I wanted was the freedom to pick up a plane on a Friday, fly to my destination and then return it on a Sunday. I did not want to fly a minimum of 3 hours a day and pay to keep it overnight even though I was paying for parking fees.
