INTEGRATED OR MODULAR PILOT TRAINING?

When choosing between Integrated and Modular, your focus should be on; Cost, Aircraft Availability, Security of flight school, and Timeframe. Almost always, the safest most secure way of completing your training is through the modular pathway. This gives you the most flexibility when it comes to your training, allowing you to vary your training location, minimise cost, and alter your training programme as and when required.

At Hour-Building.com, you can complete a huge chunk of your Hour Building, in a new environment, as quickly as you wish. When I first got in contact with Hour-Building I was so surprised as to how quickly I could complete my hours. With warm weather bases throughout Europe, you can pick which one is closest to home, or like I did, head to a completely new environment and challenge yourself.

Upon completion of my hours, I set out to begin my MEP/MEIR and CPL course in the UK with Aeros. I have now completed this course in around 12 weeks. By choosing modular, I was able to delay my start at Aeros so I could complete my Hour Building, if I was in an integrated programme, I would simply have to wait.

Another huge factor recently has been the financial security of Flight Training providers. In the UK alone we have recently seen the closure of two major schools, Tayside and FTA, which has left hundreds of students in disarray and many in financial difficulty. These schools ask for large installments, rather than adopting the pay as you fly model. Do your research and don’t be afraid to ask these schools what their financial situation and outlook is!

Put yourself first and go Modular, choose the right training providers for you, Hour Build right across Europe and make yourself a better, more competent pilot and prepare yourself for the CPL.
